Re: Glitzy Rabbit Flymph

That is outstanding!
Not that I need any more yarn but... where did you find that? Is Glitzy a brand name?
I have some metallic yarns but they are a little course for smaller patterns.

You're on a roll... 8-)

Dana, I had to go look and yes, your contribution to a March Brown swap in February 2020 was
a scotch style pattern. And to stay on topic, Sanders' MB soft hackle was in that swap too!
I believe it was ronr who posted a picture of a shadowbox from that swap?

So I'm drooling all over my laptop as I attempt to log in just to say DANG!
Awesome stuff from your den, Doug..
The rivers here are up and ripping and the wind is howling.
Time to fire up the stove, build some bugs, and watch football.
Stay safe and warm.

Re: Walmart Softhackles

I have an old Darbee Dun very similar to that! Got it from Elsie shortly before she passed away. Dana has one of Harrys chicken skins too thats close. Mine is getting sparce but I'll pluck every feather until it's gone. Twist up your bugs Wayne and use that cape. I see you as a fisher, not a collect...

I believe John was probably just being humorous. I do not think he meant anything negative. ;)
I agree and I'm sorry if I came off sounding like a jerk.
John is one of those special guys that you're lucky to know.

So I'm not the only one who has been on the receiving end of that Shaner stare?
Would some of the old timers use scud style hooks if they were available back then?
I think so...
