Re: Peacock and Starling (Glanros / Henwing Style)

Okay, the search is on. I've tried the Dr Slick "Extra Hand Tweezer", which are serrated, but I still break the tips off some the starling feathers with them.

Thanks- Ken

Tworod,

Are the jaws on your clamp smooth or serrated?

Re: Leisenring for sale

Ron, My purchase arrived on Friday. Certainly not "unread" like your recent arrival, but money well spent. Pages are unmarked; dust jacket has some staining. A nice reading/reference copy. It will make a good gift for someone who doesn't have their own copy. Only 11 months until Christmas ...

Re: Generic Spring Caddis

Beautiful, Wayne. I especially like the B13's. Those will work up here, and work well. Heck yes. I found the love for light Yellow a few years ago. I haven't looked back. Wayne, Tie up some of these from Leisenring's book (page 111): Light Snipe & Yellow Body: Yellow (Primrose) Rib: Gold Wire H...

Re: Thank You Ken (FlyFisherMann1955)

Hello Wayne, Now I'm the one smiling! It's exciting to know that when I can't fish, flies I tied can still be on the stream doing what my wife calls "fish tricking". I hope the other versions of the PT I sent trick some fish too. The PT you used is my spin on the original Frank Sawyer PT; ...

Partridge and Pearsall's ..........Pick a Color

I'm off work today for the Federal holiday. It was a brutal 2 degrees again here this AM in Central Oklahoma. Wanted to get some time at the vise, which lately has been far too infrequent, before watching our 13-year-old granddaughter play basketball this afternoon. I thought I would pull some feath...

Re: Leisenring for sale

Alright--victory for the home team! Congrats REE. I thought about bidding, thinking it could be good to have a 2nd copy that would be great for the next Secret Santa Swap. I'm glad I didn't drive up the price. I'm sure the seller is surprised/disappointed!

Re: Leisenring for sale

So, the opening bid of $22.00 was the eventual winner; what a steal for that person! I hope it was a Flymph Forum member. A few years ago, $100.00 was a good price for this book.
