Re: Partridge & Yellow

Hey Hank. I was on shore duty there during the time you were there, in Norfolk. I went on a ship in 1985 though. Yes, I have bored my kids with some of my USN talk...lol.

Re: Partridge & Yellow

Hey Wayne, good to know you are on here. No, I could tie I am sure. But I would rather go watch for the first time, and take it all in. Plus I want to do a little material shopping while I'm there. Mostly I just want to watch some great tyers, and LEARN.

Re: Hooks

I am about to try to reorganize my hook collection. However, I am torn about my soft hackle hooks. I would love to see this as a sticky. Could we have a running list here, on the best soft hackle hooks? Like Spider hook, flymph hook...whatever? (TDE vs TUE hooks for flymphs too) I just read where so...

Re: Partridge & Yellow

I would love to see some top notch streamer tiers, like you've seen. That would be awesome. When I was younger, I loved traveling. But since I had kids and got all settled down and all, I haven't been doing any traveling to speak of. My youngest just turned 18 though, and now soon, I will be able to...

Re: Partridge & Yellow

LOL...thanks. I didn't realize they didn't have many streamer tiers there. Well, that would be to my benefit, but they are timely to tie. Not many people want to sit around and watch you, at least watch me, cause I tie very slow. I know you won't be able to drag me from watching other tiers. Let me ...

Re: Partridge & Yellow

http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo175/Kelkay59/Kelly1984BaldMountaininupstateNY.jpg Take a look at my hat. I have been there to the Catskills, this was before I became a fly fisher myself 3 years ago. I cannot remember if it was the Catskills, or around Lake Placid, but this is when I saw my fir...

Re: Partridge & Yellow

We have stocked trout in mid December. Plus I will have them for Broken Bow. Yes, I could also bring them when I go to the Sowbug too.
