Re: magnification
On the subject of left/right. I'm right handed and always have the vise on the left. Ran into a fellow one time who always faced the end of the jaws. He was a pretty good tyer. I tried it, but it just felt too awkward to work in that position. Maybe I didn't give it enough time. I guess, like a lot ...

Re: magnification
Like the others, I prefer reading glasses (+3.75).
I've tried the circular lamp with the lens in the middle, and just a goose neck mounted magnifier,

Re: my new addition to tools
Cool! On my way to the local sporting goods store.
I also use recycled dentist tools. I have a "rougher-upper"
made from a root canal drill with a buffalo tooth handle.
Works pretty good on those ity-bitty flies.

I have a good collection of bodkins. Even have one with a buffaloe tooth handle. Also collect old telegraph sounders, those things that go clickrty-click in the train depot of old westerns.

I think the grouse wing hackle is just the right choice for this one, along with the choice of hook.

Let's not spread the word around about using produce bags, the price of produce will jump sky high.
Really like the colors, especially the Tups.

As usual, very nice ties, Ray. Really like the color combination on the second one. Nicely done.
