That is just an insanely clean dressing. Wonderful colors and proportions. I like it a lot.

Re: LBJ (Little Brown Job)

CC, You're hitting them out of the park lately. Very nice fly. With colors like those I can't see a fish moving to taste that morsel. Well done.

Wait!! Hard boiled eggs? Stinking up waders? This is a story just begging to be told. So, Ray, now that you've let the cat partway out of the bag, enlighten us.

Re: Custom Portable Fly Tying Kit (Warning - Photo Laden Post)

Ray,

That's just about perfect as is. My only problem is that I'd have to put everything back where it belongs. Not my strong suit. My portable tying kit is a medium sized suitcase that I hunt through whenever I want to tie away from home. You'd be surprised at the goodies I find in there.

Re: Hare's Ear and Hen

Re: Wax Question

Kelly, the wax is pretty workable when warm so I wrap mine in a bit of Saran Wrap or something similar and put it in a cup of warm water. When the wax has softened enough I take off small pieces about the size of a bb. The wax I'm not using stays in a water bath. I have noticed that if I don't chang...
