Re: Black Ghost
I never would have thought to tie this fly on this hook; you did a wonderful job. My grandfather loved this pattern tied tandem, I hated it. I followed his lead on the 9/3's, but not the Black Ghost. I really like the idea of adding the JC to this fly, Norm.

Re: BWO
This pattern, and Norm's BWO, have given me a great reason to start tying for next season. Thank you to Ray for the gift of the starling that will grace my hooks. Thanks to NRS and Norm for the inspiration; you guys rock, one and all.

Beautiful fly, Norm. I'm going to steal this one for next season; it will work very well up here.

I fished them down and across and tried to finish it off with a bit of a Leisenring lift. They work wonderfully. T...

Re: Melanistic Pheasant, Chukkar, Cornish Game Hen
I saw REE's melanistic pheasant up close and personal a couple of weeks ago; spectacular. Subtle colorations, but at the same time, in-your-face. Truly a remarkable skin.

Re: Nine Three Tandem Hairwing Streamer
One of my grandfathers 'go-to' patterns when I was a kid. So many salmon fell to this pattern. Beautiful, Norm; gorgeous. Thanks for posting this one.

See, this is what happens when you let Ken Kesey and Timothy Leary sit down at your vise.

Re: Speckled Jim
I loved 'Blackadder'. It may have been a comedy, but the final scene of the very last episode was absolutely haunting. But yeah,... I have no idea where you're going with this.
