Ever since I bought and read Oliver Kite's book "Nymph Fishing in Practice" (quite a few years ago!), I started tying my own leaders. Last week, I put together 5 more leaders for an upcoming trip to Michigan's Au Sable River. Have been using Maxima Ultragreen for many years ... using Olive...

Re: Orange Caddis
Here's a pic of the dry October Caddis I tied for a possible trip out West this Fall. These were the first 6 I tied. Those tied later look better!

Re: Orange Caddis
Saw this video last Fall and had to order the right hackle. Guess it would prbably be a good idea to do a variation with the orange hackles and dubbed orange / wire body!

Re: Roger Fogg, I have a couple of his books and they are great reads and sources of info. Highly recommend his writings. He used to have an internet site but haven't seen it for quite awhile. Glad I copied / downloaded his info / articles.

Re: Glossosoma (Little Short-Horned Sedge)
Thanks for the posting and pics. The name rang a bell, so I looked it up on my MacBook and found a pic of some that I tied quite awhile back. Have no idea what I did with them but will have to find them before I go fishing in Cheese Country again.

Re: The Yellow Woodcock.
Nice looking fly dressing. Next to Golden Plover, I think Woodcock and Red Grouse hackles make great looking flies with various colored silk bodies with / without dubbings.

Re: John Swarbrick - John Turton Dressings
Now I'm really confused! If I recall correctly, I downloaded / copied the info many years ago from (possibly) Don Nicolson's old web site. I tried today to do a web search from the old links I had for Don Nicolson's site to no avail. But I did find a pic on Abe Books (https://www.anglebooks.com/list...
