I love Stewart's Black spider. I've been using them in #18, maybe a #20 if I can find the manual dexterity, in the early spring. It's a wonderful pattern; nicely tied, Bob.

Yup, I also use toilet ring wax and lick my fingers, too. Another one I tried a while ago was the stub end of a stick of old belt dressing. We used it to keep the canvas belt on the sawmill; hard to find stick dressings anymore. I believe many of those belt dressings had a significant amount of rosi...
