Thanks VERN-O. Nice to see you dropping by the forum again. This is usually the time of year that I would head on over to Oak Orchard fly shop to have some of your venison chili. Your fly tying demonstrations were always a highlight of the winter tying season...that and the chili... ;) :D

Have you had any opportunity to try these flymphs during appropriate circumstances?

Agreed. I'm so glad to see this again. It's such a high bar for tutorials and all the extras involving the dubbing paper pallet and the silk thread length trick on the block. such a great pattern too.

Is that the wax I made and passed around a couple years back? I still have a bunch of that stuff somewhere. That turned out awesome for doing just this and coloring silks!

Eric - No. These flies were tyed with "Shuck Wax", that Bill gave me. I've got your wax squirreled away in my travel kit. Great stuff, btw.
