hook - Dai Riki 075 #12
thread - Danville 6/0 red
tag - Uni-Stretch Chinese Red
rib - small wire gold
body - Angora goat red
body hackle - grizzly dyed ginger
cloak - bronze mallard

mash barb, start thread; tie in Uni-Stretch, wrap to bend

wrap Uni halfway down the bend and back; tie off/trim

tie in rib

wax thread; dub thread/dub body

tie in hackle; spiral to bend

capture hackle tip with rib; continue thru body, helicopter end, cover with thread, trim hackle tip

a few strokes to the rear with the Velcro brush

measure (tips a bit past the bend) a clump of bronze mallard fibers

fold over body, tie in with 2 soft loops to disperse mallard

trim butts, whip finish, SHHAN

Certainly a lovely pattern, Scott, and an excellent presentation of the tying process.
In ancient times, cats were worshipped as gods; they have not forgotten this.

Nice way to pry open the eyes in the morning while the Mr. Coffee sits on the counter making
