Organize Dubbing Packets with Split Rings

Post by letumgo » Sun May 13, 2018 7:02 pm

I recently bought a bunch of dubbing packs and wanted a way to keep them organized by type and arranged by color (instead of pawing my way thru umteen packets hoping to find the one I want). The answer was split metal rings, which I picked up from the office supply section of Walmart.

I organized the packets by color, then poked the point of the metal ring thru the bottom corner of the bag. This keeps all the dubbing packs organized and easy to use. The top of the bag can still be opened to grab the amount of dubbing you need, then press and resealed as needed.

Ray, Howdy;

Even if pix #1 & 3 are a dash in-a circle, #2 did it's job :D !

Ya might want to think about using some of these

They'll help the ring from pulling through the plastic and allowing your
hard fought for dubbing to escape.
We used to call them paper A--holes in the Navy :lol: , :oops: .

Excellent idea Ray! There are always good things coming from your mind and your den! I love seeing this kind of stuff!

What happened to the 3-ring binder with the slide pockets? I have always that was ingenious. This is great too but how do you store the rings?

Carl - I still have the 3 ring binder, but it is full. I bought all this stuff and had to find a way to keep it organized. I have a full storage box full of these.

I need more dubbing like a hole in the head.

Maybe you need a hole in your head to let all dubbing desire out? :roll:

Maybe install a small pressure relief valve. :lol:

Excellent idea, Bill. Have you got a link to one, preferably made from natural materials?
