Ray, Howdy;

Beautiful fly, very well presented too.
Now, ... how many attempts (practice),
sets of wings did you wade through to get
this set to sit so well ???

This is my second try. I mangle the first one, but still threw it in my fly box. If the fish hate the wing, I can trim it off stream side.

Well done.
I tend to stay away from upright quill slip wings...... we do not play well together. Anyone that can do it well has my admiration.

Ray, Howdy;

Maybe you can show me how to do that in Mt. ...

Ray,
You bet your bippee that will fish! It's gorgeous and very "Clyde-like" in it's appearance and composition! You did well! Have you done any others?

Kudos Ray, great venture into the little winged wets. You were brave to take on the up eye. They are not easy to work around.

Hi Ray,

Very well done my friend. You know the book(let) of John Reid: Clyde style flies?

Yes, Ruard. A friend gifted me a copy of that great little book (for which I am grateful). There is a diagram in the book, which illustrates how to tie in the wing. I tried to do this wing the same way. Carl was right. The up-eye hook made it challenging.
