Glanrhosish wet fly/flymph

I'm gobsmacked mate. Brilliant design. I love everything about this Glanrhos flymph. The overall proportions are perfection. The colors harmonize beautifully. The dubbing is so well done. I'd fish that bad boy in a heartbeat!

Do you mind if I download your flymph picture? I'd like to use it as a background on my computer.

Redietz/Bob- I think u are right re the tri colour, I may have taken it a bit far with that one, it'd probably take a steelhead rig to cast the shot u would need to sink it Worse than that I broke two rules with that one , it's just dawned on me that it's a wingless fly

Daringduffer- yep, wing mounted first, hackle barbs removed from one side, few fibres remove behind the wing in the hackle side (to keep things tidy when u start wrapping) dub the thorax and wrap forward.

Tim- Thanks m8 and a fish in your backyard is well overdue, fingers crossed there are no spanners thrown at me this season and I make it over

Here's a fly of the floating variety I tied today. Inspired by my good friend and one of the most knowledgeable and masterful trout fly tiers I know, Chris Williams his Instagram username is @cegwilli. It's my first attempt at one of Otzinger's Single Wing Duns in an adamsish flav, a fly created and popularised by the late great Eric Otzinger. It's a pretty fussy technique and hackle selection for the wing is crucial, looks deceptively simple but is pretty tough. Might have to tie a few more before I'm happy

Does anyone have any information/history on Otzinger and his patterns? Google shows up very little
