Down here we don’t have much call for tiny flies. A couple of insects are imitated with a #20 but that’d be about it. OTT they’d pretty much all be #16 upwards with a few #18 thrown in for fussy fish….

The nano silk that I tried seems identical to GSP.

It is. J Stockard describes Nano Silk as a standard GSP and it's the only GSP that is slightly twisted and can
be split for a dubbing loop. It will cut your finger to the bone if you try to snap off a tag end by hand.

Try not to cut Nano Silk with your scissors. It dulls them in a hurry.

I have no experience with nano silk but have tied 1500-3000 flies per year for over 50 years with just three pairs of scissors. A small Arkansas hard stone will keep your scissors sharp for life. Just give the scissors a few strokes before you start tying. The secret I learned years ago to keep any cutting blade sharp is to not wait until the blade becomes dull. The pivot screw should wear out before the blade.

I have been honing my scissors as needed for years with my Diamond Deb nail file. ;)

I have gone through 3 pairs of scissors in 30 years. No cutting of wire, kevlar or paper.

Moral of the story...... I do not tie enough flies.
