Outstanding! This has really gotten me excited about making up another batch of spun bodies. The wind is howling outside, snow accumulating over night (1”/hour). Tying season is underway. :D

How are you liking that YLI silk thread?

Personally I don't think the trout will care.
+1 !!!
I feel like I’m doling out, or rationing, every time I use one of my wooden spools of Pearsall’s!! fortunately, I have a good supply of vintage white (and black) silk, that I color with Pantone markers..

Ray, YOUR snow is headed my way now :?

Yup, There they are, millions of tiny snowflakes, all in formation, rank & file,
covering the hillsides and valleys as they approach. Marching in rout-step so
they don't set up a harmonic value that would give them away.
 , .

Hank, you crack me up, my friend. I just envisioned row after row of snowflakes, little helmets, packs and rifles, slogging their way to Dana's.

Dana - We received 10" inches of fresh snow last night. Plenty for our first dusting. You can have the rest.

I prefer Fox Squirrel over the rest 'cuz I think it is "spikier". Ray - got our 1st dusting here - 4". EVERYONE HEAD FOR THE DITCHES! Don't know where the Ohio folks learned to drive, but it wasn't Michigan! :D :D

I really like fox squirrel dubbing. Not only is it really spikey, but you can do so much with it, or to it. A fav for sure.

We have about 3 inches of fine dry powder snow on top of 2 inches of slush. Supposed to get down to 14 tonight and all the way up to 27 tomorrow. Thankfully the plows and sand trucks will have the roads ready for the morning commute.

John, that's a nice, clean squirrel skin. Have fun with that one!!
So far, here in Southwest Wisconsin, we are topping out over 15" of snow. Most of this arrived in 2-4 inch incremenst and subsequently melted. A long time ago, I live in Syracuse & then Rochester. The snowfalls were, indeed, epic and Spring arrived very late. Wisconsin Winters seem tame in comparison.

Enjoy the tying season everyone!
