I have added a comments article to the Skues section.
There are points of interest for Wingless Wets by Skues.

Thanky you for an enjoyable read. Started it with my morning coffee. Finished it off after supper this evening.

Donald,
Thanks for posting the "Comments by Skues". I really enjoyed it. It just so happens that I am re-reading Kenneth Robsons book "The Essential G.E.M. Skues". Some of the text was very familiar and some was not. I thank you for the "some was not" parts.
It is very hard sometimes to grasp just how deep Skues was in all aspects of flyfishing. His crowning glory is in the patterns he tied and used and a close second was his fishing prowess.
Donald, I just have to say what a great web-site you have authored. It's truly amazing! And, I haven't started to scratch the surface of the breadth and depth of it. Again, thanks!
Yours from the den,
Dougsden

As some of you may know Phil Bailey and myself are writing a book on North Country flies and their dressing and fishing. In the book I will shed light of how and where Skues got his flies. Stay tuned and all will become clear......

Dang, looks like i'll have to have this book too.....btw, for all you potential world travelers......i've communicated with Phillip and the Symposium in 2012 is sounding VERY Cool to me. i think we should allllll really think about that one, way seriously. For many of us it might just have to be a once in a lifetime event......but there's no doubt in my mind that it would be MORE than well worth it. There's no way we (Misako and i), can know for sure yet, if we can make it......but i'm thinkin' just cut out a few other things, and it shouldn't be to hard. ;) Keep your fingers crossed. :D
