So I am kind of hearing "teach yourself this new fandangled Davy knot over the Winter and give it a good test over the coming season".......... but it is real hard to teach a not so old (but stubborn) dog new tricks! :lol:

Mataura mayfly, Howdy;

Jeff, I learned a long time ago that the only thing I have to do
is die, everything else has an option ... Teach yourself some new knots or
not, up to you ... ;)

One more thing about the uni knot. When I leave my glasses behind it takes me good long time to find the eye of the hook, but no time to put the knot to use. All you got to do is put a big loop in, take the tail and wrap it four time, wet and bingo!
