DUBBN, Howdy;

Reckon the day you and I were there the fish were on vacation ... :roll:
You had a good enough day today for the two us (no jetboats ???) ... As you
discribed The Rock, and the area 1/4 mile upstream I could picture it in my
head. I'm guessing that where we first got wet was near the trough. You probably
let me wander into it ... :roll: Congratulations for a GREAT Vacation Day !!!

Hank, the river is half the volume it was when you and I fished it. I can cross it in most any spot now. Those fish are running out of places to vacation. ;-)

Thanks for reporting on your "vacation" trips. You obviously had to do some work. You had to catch all those fish. Then you had to take pictures and put them and words together into an essay and post it all. Some of us never get around to sharing like that. Thanks again for warming our fishing hearts. And you are a lucky dog to have been fishing that close piece of water for 30 years!

I'm curious. Were you surprised that your #12 Peacock and Partridge was such a performer? If you had put on only two flies to start would that have been one of them? Or, even after 30 years fishing that section at that time of year, was it routine to start with three different patterns?

Nice hatch, indeed! Gorgeous set of flies Wayne. With less water and those flies, it aught to be like fishing in a barrel. Poor fishes... ;) :D
