Last vacation day :(

Post by DUBBN » Fri Nov 23, 2012 7:51 pm

I floated the Roaring Fork with my buddy. It was great to be the only ones floating. I am afraid this could be the last float till late Feb., early March. The temps were perfect. High in the mid 50's

The trout had their feed bag on all day long.

Again, Peacock and Partridge size 14 and 10. Red Headed Stepchild (Soft Hackle) size 18. Throw in some size 20 to 22 Baetis emergers and most of the bases were covered

I caught some bigger, and some smaller than this little fatty

My buddy got some video of me catching a couple small Browns. If he downloads it, I will share it to the Flymph Page on FaceBook.

My jaw is sore from all the grinning I did today...

TDay leftovers and a couple beers and I will be ready for bed. If I didnt mention it, I had a very good day.

DUBBN, Howdy;

why the long pause for the float? Other than ice and very cold weather???
Nice looking fish. :D

Nice.day, Wayne. Sorry to hear the weathers going to close the door on your float trips, but you went out with a grand outing. Thanks for sharing.

If the weather gods smile on me, I may get another trip..If not, I will have all Winter long to smile about the adventures (good and bad) I had this past season. Oars broken, fish lost, rods snapped, waders that leaked. I would not trade a second if I had the chance.

Not to mention fishing with Hank and the run-in with the pickup truck hooligans ;) .
