Hey Dubbing,
That’s the video from Parks Fly Shop, I forgot about Craig’s white miller pattern. I have fished them both and have done very well on the Firehole. I like your choice of watercraft , I have a water master also, great boats , lightweight and can take a beating (within reason).

I wanted to see how a White Miller SH was made. I did a YouTube search for it, and the two videos came up. I thought I would share, as it looked like an interesting pattern.

I am going on 14 years in my WM's. Agreed, great rafts.

Ray,

Here's the pattern for my White Miller Caddis

Hook: Syl Nemes Raised Eye Soft Hackle Wet Fly, Gaelic Supreme, size 13 & 15
Thread: Uni 8/0 Chartreuse
Silk: Persall's light olive
Dubbing: Nature's Spirit Emergence Dubbing, cream color spun on silk using a Clark dubbing block
Hackle: Partridge

I canceled my trip up there this year. WY currently has some restrictive measures in place especially for out of state folks.

Bill, this is such a wonderful pattern for that white miller hatch. I remember fishing flies very similar and they were just the ticket on several occasional. Eric even set up his vise on his bed and put together quite a few of them during that trip. They did not disappoint.

On the other hand, Shaner told me all we would need was a P&O #16 and a sparse Hares Ear and partridge, same size and he proved that to be the case a hundred times over.

I still think of that trip with you guys everyday

This fly is perfect for that water. Beautiful pattern and just right touch.
