Dana - Hijack away. If you find the video, feel free to post a link since it is related to working with CDC feathers.
By the way, being a sucker for gadgets, I already have the MPJ tools.
My next experiment will be using the MPJ CDC tool, along with a Clark's Spinning Block, to create dubbing/CDC spun bodies. I will report back, once I've had a chance to play around.

Hi Ray,
If you are a sucker for gizmos and gadgets there is another tool called SWISSCDC multiclamp. It pretty much does what the MP clamps do but is much more heavy duty. I am just saying if you like tools...

Bag clips are GREAT - they have multiple uses. And yes, they do work equally well. I also use the black binder clips used in offices to clamp papers together..........a meduim box of assorted sizes (1/4" to 2") is a couple of bucks.daringduffer wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 2:14 pmMany cheap and simple tools work perfectly fine but don't give the same pleasure to nerds. If I could play the guitar, I would want a superb guitar, just for the joy of using it.

Lest I be accused of being CHEAP, my belief is this: those to are ardent tyers historically tried to improve their means & methods to increase the efficacy of their patterns.
Plus, all of us tie flys to save money, right?

I think that this Swiss Multi-Clamp might be a superb guitar. Maybe I'll wait for Dana to tell me that it is (if he is quick on the trigger).
