Likely you will have noticed the inclusion of these material in recently posted flies. Should you wish to hunt for them yourself, you may wish to see 'raw' product .

Here is a picture of the various colors of mesh bags I have acquired to date. I included a Tiemco bobbin holder in the display as a scale reference.

I've been wondering this for some time: how do you separate the strands? At least in the ones I have (and assume are more or less the same as in Europe) the distance between nodes in the netting isn't long enough to tie with, at least in my hands, and the nodes are "welded" together.

Bob, these are a loose mesh - simply find a strand, pull........ until end is reached.

I know about the welded mesh kind - useless stuff! 8-)

Now I understand...I was wondering how you were getting those strands. Everything I've found around here looks like a gill net for minnows! I don't recall seeing that many color schemes available either.

The search continues....

Yes, some of mine have come from Aldi's. Others from Lidl. And a Dutch chain called Albert Heijn today delivered what is my favorite color to date, a rich purple (blood oranges bag) 8-)

Hans, I just noticed my potatoes are in one of those bags too. It's a tannish color, would be great for spinner colored flies.
