Kickin' it, Grannom style?

Great flies--especially like the pupa...really subtle move with the herl and thread at the head. :)

Hans,
I love these, especially the pupa that bears kinship to the smaller stonefly nymphs that some of us were playing with recently.
This is the kind of conversation that keeps us coming back to the forum.
I dig the egg sac fly too. Beautifully conceived and put together.
Using a dark rib for segmenting the pupa is simple, and effective-looking. It reverses the effect of a yellow or gold rib on a darker body.
That ringneck pheasant hackle has a unique, coarse quality that seems appropriate for the fat legs of nymphs.
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing your handiwork once again.

I hope the tulips are poking their way up into the Dutch sunlight by now.

Very nice looking patterns Hans. I've always liked the look of the argentinian hare, never played with though.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.
