Very nice.
Almost a mirror image of the colours in a standard Partridge & Yellow.
Did you dye the hackle yourself, or buy it that way?

Thanks for the kind words.
I dyed a small patch just to see how I like the color.Mataura mayfly wrote:Did you dye the hackle yourself, or buy it that way?

Meeooww! There's a dandy! Love that yellow partridge! You have balanced it well against the tan camel hair! Very well tied too!

Re: Yellow Partridge and Camel
That reminds me, I have a pack of camel dubbing somewhere on my tying desk. I need to dig it up (currently buried under other tying stuff) so I can try to duplicate this pattern. Nice job. Thanks for sharing & inspiring.

When I scanned this quickly, I thought it said that you had a pack Camels somewhere.letumgo wrote: I have a pack of camel dubbing somewhere on my tying desk.
That got me to thinking. Would tobacco work as a dye? It seems to be of a color worth imitating.

What day is it? Huh, huh? I know you know. C'mon, Ray -- what day is it? Oh wait, that was yesterday .
