Raccoon Tail Underfur

Post by tie2fish » Sat Dec 27, 2014 12:42 pm

As discussed in an earlier post, Novabass (Paul Beel) offered any takers a sample of underfur from a raccoon's tail. Below is what I have done so far with the batch he sent to me. It looks as though this material will blend nicely with any number of things to produce some excellent dubbings.

These photos have been lost.

I see a LOT of potential flies sitting there. I immediately started thinking of stonefly imitations. Inspiring post!

Nice material, Bill. I see a lot of uses here too. Sculpin heads?
