I could see it previously, not now. When I right-click on 'image' and try to show the photo I'm taken to another forum with this message: "Apologies! This forum is closed for essential upgrade. Back at 12.00hrs (GMT) 2nd February 2018".

Great looking fly and the Cree looks great! Is that from a Cree hen neck (if there is such a thing)?

No it is from down the sides of a rooster cape. The way it has been cut by Root River has included a few (just a few :( ) spade hackles but quite a few feathers that I guess must make up the root or base of the wing (I think they are called the scapulars?). They are quite soft for rooster hackle so not good for dry flies, however as they had really strong Cree marking I had to use them somehow.
By the way I have seen Cree hen necks and saddles for sale over here in the UK, Toby at Funky Fly Tying had a small number from Charlie Collins.

Hi all
Up date on this fly.
Normally I am a dry fly man (I can hear the jeers and hisses across the pond!), but I have been talked into using wets again by a few of you over there and this has been a go to fly for me this season. It has worked really well during sedge / caddis fly and small stone-fly hatches on my local river, the Leven here in N Yorks., and also on a new club I have joined on the Tees, on the border between N Yorks. and Co. Durham. I have fished it on the top dropper as a bob fly in sizes 12 & 14 and it has produced trout on every trip out it has been used! The best performance to date was this weekend on the Tees where it caught 6 trout in 4 hours in far from ideal conditions (very warm and bright sunshine).

Bishthefish1, Howdy;

Alistair, Thanks for the follow-up and after action report. Appears that
you've created a 'worthy offering' and is Trout approved.
