Inspired by Rob Smith's YouTube videos using T. E. Pritt's dressings. I didn't have any yellow mohair, so I used yellow wool in the dubbing mix:

11. MARCH BROWN (Great Brown, Brown Drake, Dun Drake). Hook 3.
WINGS.- From the tail of a Partridge.
BODY.- Pale orange silk, dubbed with a little Hare's ear and yellow mohair, mixed; ribbed over
with a little yellow silk.
TAIL.- Forked with two strands from a Partridge's tail.
LEGS.- From the back of a Partridge.

12. [Another March Brown] Hook 2.
WINGS.- From the quill feather of a hen pheasant.
BODY, TAIL, and LEGS as in No. 11.

Thank you Bob. I have actually been watching Rob Smith's videos lately and even have his book, " The North Country Fly". But I haven't really sat down and read it yet. It's on my "to do this winter" list.

Exceptional tie and the Edmond's & Lee's 8b's were an extra surprise!
That made my day.
Thank You!

Glad the flies got to you ok. I'm a March Brown freak, love to tie and fish them. Enjoy.
