Thought I'd jump in with one of my Futsu Kebaris as there seems to be a Tenkara thing going on here.

Lookin' good.
The hackle looks like it was tied in at the hook point with an open spiral to the bead, then collared.
Dubbing counter wrapped through it?

Thanks guys. I tie in the hackle by the stem 90 degrees to the shank immediately behind the bead; after wrapping the desired amount of hackle I tie off the waste end in open spirals wrapping as far down the hook as you'd like before breaking it off; I then wrap the dubbing (muskrat in this case) up to the wrapped hackle and use the tying thread to rib back down to the "tail" where I whip finish. You can allow as much of the tied off hackle to protrude through the dubbing as you want. This is a very fast and easy tie.

Did you come up with that idea about the hackle being wrapped down the shank, or is that a common thing tying flymps?
I'm also going to be sending you a PM soon. I saw something and I'd like to ask you a question.

I'm with Mike, I am soooo stealing this pattern. What size do you tie it in?

This is tied on a Firehole 316 #12, pretty much my go-to Kebari hook. I've tried tying them on a 14 but have not been impressed. Keep in mind that I fish these on mild to high gradient mountain streams.

I like the Firehole 316 as well. very versatile and wide gape, in fact I'm using more Firehole hooks is other styles these days.
