*rmk didn’t have the correct herl to do the body correctly.

Dear Nightwatchman,
This pattern is amazing looking! All three components have been chosen wisely and you have brought them together perfectly! It's these sparsly hackled, thin bodied patterns like this that really produce! Good Job!

Out of curiosity, what did you use for the body sub? I’m always looking for options.

In the Old Masters that I've tied, I used either a light Canada goose herl or from a Blue Eared Pheasant.
