Using Jay wing feathers as substitute for dotterel

Couple of wet flies tied with Jay.

Jay & yellow spider

Hends BL599 size 14 hook with Danville’s flymaster 6/0 yellow thread and Jay hackle taken ( fawn feather from wing)

Jay & blue spider
Same materials as above except used Uni-thread Doc blue

The Jay wing looks like an excellent dotterel sub. I especially like the yellow bodied fly.
