Thanks guys. I’ve used Sharpie markers quite a bit (black, brown, red and green are always in reach). Haven’t played around with the Prismacolor markers much. Yet... :D ;)

I learned using Prismacolor markers from Ted Niemeyer...... he loved them, I really don’t.

Pantone’s and Sharpies work for me, mostly on threads and quill bodies.


Some people worry about the residual smell - do any of you have that concern??

I've used Panton pens in the past on various materials with great success and on hackle with varied success. Someone in the local fly fishing club said they'd had good luck with Chartpack pens. May have to try a few.
