Yes, the hackle is partridge.
Yes, the body is orange, but it's not silk thread.

Hook: WFC Heavy scud (Model 16, 3X Strong) - Size 14
Thread: Uni 8/0 - Rust brown
Body: Stripped peacock (Polish Quill - orange)
Covered with Solarez Bone Dry
Thorax: Peacock - 6 turns
Hackle: Partridge (Dark brown) - 2 turns
Head Cement: H & H


Not traditional, but would you fish it?

Yep! I'd fish it in a heart beat! It is a very good looking pattern, almost display worthy! I'll take just a half dozen!
