That just looks super buggy and messy, which means it will catch lots of fish. Thanks for sharing that one for sure.

Wow! "She's a beaut Clark"! I really like this pattern! It is so....real looking! I can imagine the air bubbles this one holds adding to its attractiveness! Please make more patterns, more designs, more of anything!

Doug, I didn't create this pattern but found it unnamed in a fly shop In Krakow Poland.
It grabbed my attention as a fish magnet that I had to bring home and copy and share on the Forum. The single turn of Partridge sealed the deal!

Bill, I can catch fish with this pattern before during and after the Early caddis hatches in late April through June. I am going to try and duplicate it in the next few days.
I am also going to swing it the rest of caddis season.
While a lot of fly tyer/fishermen concentrate on North Country Spider (slim profile) type wets, I would dread the thought of going to the river without a heavier pattern just like this. Especially in stained to muddy water. That being said I would not hesitate to use it as attractor in low clear water.
Your pattern and others like it are always in my box. Productive, versatile, deadly are all proper adjectives describing your pattern. I will soon be filling my Spring wet/flymph/caddis box . This pattern will have a spot in there.

I can see this fly in many sizes and colors to match conditions on the water. I've done several using the original recipe and they look killer.
