HANS,
ANOTHER TERRIFIC PATTERN! THANKS FOR SHARING IT WITH US! I HAVE A SMALL QUESTION FOR YOU AND FOR ALL THE OTHERS TOO. GRIP BRAND HOOKS LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE GREAT BITE! I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THEM. PLEASE FILL ME IN ALSO ON THEIR HISTORY. HAVE THEY BEEN AROUND FOR A WHILE? IT CERTAINLY ADDS TO THE LOOK OF YOUR PATTERN AND OTHERS TOO WHERE I HAVE SEEN IT. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHERE YOU GET THEM. I'D LIKE TO PICK SOME UP SOON!
THANKS FROM THE DEN,
DOUGSDEN

Dougsden,

The Grip hooks are sold out of South Africa (http://www.scientificfly.com). You can check out the models and sizes on this site.

I have used them for two seasons now, and they work well. Excellent quality and consistent finish, on par with, say, Tiemco. The favorite model for me is the 14723BL (or 14703 as barbed). Close to, but even nicer than, the Tiemco 206BL.

I do not know where you are based (country), but making an assumption you are in North America. If so, Kevin Compton is the North America distributor. You can reach Kevin here: kevind.compton@gmail.com.

Cheers,

HANS,
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFO. CONCERNING GRIP HOOKS. I WILL CHECK OUT THIS WEB-SITE AND E-MAIL MR. COMPTON VERY SOON! I'VE ALWAYS HAD A PARTICULAR FONDNESS FOR TIEMCO HOOKS BUT I HAVE TRIED OTHER BRANDS TOO AND WILL CONTINUE TO "SAMPLE" NEW STUFF AS IT COMES OUT.
AGAIN, MANY THANKS TO YOU FOR THE QUICK RESPONSE AND GREAT INFORMATION. I WILL KEEP AN EYE ON THE TYING BOARD FOR YOUR PATTERNS. GREAT DESIGNS ON GREAT IRONS!
HAVE WE REACHED THE PINACLE OF BEAUTY AND FUNCTION? NOT YET BUT YOU ARE COMING CLOSE!
