Little Ruddy Spider

Hook:Daiichi #1640-12-16
Thread: Claret Pearsall's Gossamer
Hackle: Dark reddish brown hen-oversized.
Tag: A couple turns of the ribbing wire.
Ribbing: Red Ultra-wire, fine.
Body: Tying silk very lightly dubbed with dark brown rabbit fur toward the thorax-leaving some silk showing toward back end.

LOVE IT.....nice thing bout these type of flies is you can do your tag, then dubb, then rib.....and never have to cutt off the wire and reattach.....saves time and steps. ;)

Beautiful fly Mark. The colors work well together.

PS - I often use the same technique to form the bodies on flies.

Mark, I just tied up my swap flies on the Daiichi 1640. It's a great looking hook and you've used the proportions really nicely with this fly.
