Ostrich Eggs
Hook - Mustad Model 94842 / Size 12
Thread - Fluorescent Red-Orange (8/0)
Hackle - Brahman Hen (Golden Brown) or Hen Neck (Silver Badger)
Rib - Fine Copper Wire (Ultra Wire/Small)
Body - Tying Thread
Egg - Ostrich Plume Herl (any color that makes you happy - in this case orange, pink and black)


These were tyed to look like miniature steelhead flies. The up-eyed hook seems to fit the style nicely IMO. The fish won't care about the little details, but they are a lot of fun to tye. I really like the look of the red and black version. The silver badger hen hackle blends in nicely.

TO cool.....and yes, the up eyed hook is perfect. ;)
