Mark (willowhead) - I am delighted to report that the extra hooks arrived in yesterdays mail. I opened each of the packages and sorted the hooks into a new hook-box. A few of them were too large to fit, so they got grouped together in the original packaging. Your right, the one set will make beautiful MOM style flies. I think I will need to cut off the eyes and taper the hooks shank to make them look authentic. I love the look of the Owner salmon hooks are pretty too. I am used to seeing their brand on other styles of hook. Didn't realize they even made a salmon hook. Very cool!

Thank You!

Sincerely,
Ray "letumgo"

Hey Ray.....glad everything arrived safe and sound.....i think what i had earlier called 3655's are actually 3355's.....i just got home form shopping, and stoped at Home Depot to get a new set of cutters. i had pretty much ruimed my old ones.....but that's ok, i can still use them for bull**** jobs around the house. The new ones will cut ANYTHING i'll ever wanna cut, and i have tested them, (took a hook with me to Home Depot)..........they cut those hooks like they're butter. Nice clean cut.....but i also picked up a file to clean up any little burs that might remain after the cuts. Once that's done, all you need to do is dab a tiny drop of black finger nail polish on there.....course i'm speaking in terms of a fly that will not be fished. If your going to fish with it, i'd never cut the eye off in the first place. :D But a show/exhibition fly just looks so much nicer with a nice (colored ;) ) gut eye. Enjoy and have fun. i got some choppin' to do.
