Bennechi 14/0 Thread (Primrose)
Hackle - Honey Dun Hen (Natural)
Thorax - Silk Dubbing Brush (Tups Wool Dubbing Blend on well waxed Primrose Pearsall's Gossamer Silk - Formed on Clark Dubbing Block)
Tail/Abdomen - Five Pheasant Tail Fibers (Bleached Ginger)

This is a prototype of the fly I an thinking of submitting for the tups swap. I may change out the Bennechi thread, for Pearsall's Gossamer silk in Primrose. The Bennechi is nice stuff, but is feels out of place on this pattern. Gossamer would be a more traditional choice. Besides, the Gossamer might show up more in the abdomen, hinting towards the original tups pattern.

I like the way the spiraled hackle blends in with the tups thorax.

Bill - You got it, buddy. I doubt you'll learn anything from me, which you don't already know. You can demo your weaving technique and then we can take the flies for a swim.

Rodger - I used the tweezers you sent to form the dubbing brushes. They worked like a charm. The offset ends make it easy to see what your doing, and where the dubbing is being placed. Thanks again. They are the perfect tool for the job.
