Oh, neglected to mention the fruit bag. Dead chicken from the side of a Texas road? This is even better than I thought.
If you get too gimpy to fish and then write a play, perhaps you'll consider me for the Karl Childers role. "A Dead Chicken Runs Through It" might be a working title.

Hayabusa is making Orvis's tactical line of hooks. They're arguably the best hook manufacturer right now in the industry.
Very interesting.

Just days ago, I learned Hayabusa makes Fulling Mill hooks . . . at least some of the cool, barbless ones. It would be nice to sort out this OEM stuff so as to avoid, for example, paying shipping across the sea if the same or similar hook smells as sweet closer by and by another name.

Well when it comes to flies and hooks from Orvis everything is supplied to them by Fulling Mill. Complicated I know.
