Reversed Spider (Shrimp)

Tying roots run deep. Going to rock the Southern Lagoons with a variation on a classic Pacific Northwest pattern... :lol:

No doubt the first Tups Shrimp pattern. And good lord, did you nail it. That is a very cool pattern.

Hang on tight when stripping that bad boy in. The fish are going to attack that fly! Well done Carl.

Can you give s the recipe for Carl's Crustacian?

Wow! I'd be surprised if that didn't bring a fish to hand. Good stuff Carl.

old/new hat, Howdy;

Carl, you won't need a gurgler with that shrimp ... reminds me of something
Flip Pallot would toss on the old "Walker's Cay " Tv show.

Hey, thanks guys!

Ray, here you go:

Hook: Alec Jackson spey #4
Thread: UTC 140 white
Hackle: mallard flank dyed a pink/tan (I have a bunch of this that Jeff sent to me a while ago)
Tail: mallard flank
Eye: glad bead eye, black
Rib: wide pearl tinsel
Body: seal dubbing (mix of natural, crimson, burnt orange, brown olive)

Most of you probably know but this is just a classic style sea-run cutty pattern. I used to use in the coastal bays of Oregon when the cutties were coming in. As you said Ray, just strip, it's all about the action of the hackle.
