hook – Dai Riki 320 #12
thread - UTC 140 tan (body)/MFC 8/0 brown
body - deer hair
hackle - grizzly dyed olivish brown (1tbs Rit Camel/1 cup water)/partridge

Playing around with a new (for me) Rit color, thinking it would yield a deep tan; ended up with the olive brown (2 minutes in the microwave)

next batch I backed off to 90 seconds and got this, which also has possibilities

Holy Cow Scott! That's nice! I am thrilled too with the dying of hackles in the microwave! Very interesting and has great potential! I love how you can gauge the depth of the color by simply adjusting the time on the microwave timer! Great stuff friend!!

ScottP, Howdy;

What color were the Grizzly feathers before you dyed'em, white?
Very nice trick with the microwave thanks for including it as well.

Love the Goddard Jingler pattern, Scott. That should slay.

Are you preparing for a trip? You seem to be on a roll. Poor trout don't stand a chance against these offerings. :D

Good stuff!

I'm headed back to MT in a few weeks. Don't have any big trips to name waters planned; more likely time on little blue lines, so we'll see what the cutts will and won't bite on.
