I really took a shining to a pattern Will shared some time ago and have been meaning to tie a version for some time. He's been one of the biggest influences on my flymph/soft hackle approach to tying.
I modified the pattern a bit to make it easier to tie, I need all the help I can get!

Iron Kamasan B110 #14
Thread Veevus primrose 16/0
Hackle Whiting american hen saddle
underbody of tinsel Silver or Gold
dubbing is Beaver on the lighter flies and possum mixed with hares ear on the olive
Semperfli pure silk primrose is the core I used to dub onto
1. After you've tied in your hackle, catch the tinsel in on the far side of the hook behind the thorax, bind down in touching turns to where the underbody should start
2. Take a few additional turns past the tinsel
3. tie in a thick piece of silk I used Semperfli pure silk in primrose, you could use button hole twist.
4. Wind thread to thorax region
5. Wind underbody of tinsel, tie off at thorax, throw in a half hitch
6. Dub the silk finely with dubbing, then add thin veil like clumps where you want some volume by just touching it on and pinching it without twisting it onto the rope (hope that makes sense)
cord the thread up with some hackle pliers, in a clockwise direction if your right handed and wrap the body in open spirals to let some bling show through. build a thorax and finish the fly the way you would any other flymph/soft hackle.

Extremely interesting/inspiring post. The wet shots Completely sold me on the patterns. I must give these a try.

Thank you for sharing the written tutorial. ;)

Karsten, you recognize a good fly when you see it and are able to reproduce it to your liking. Very well done. I am at loss for any negative things to say. Damn you!

Thank you all for your kind comments, it’s a fun tie, glad your going to add some to your fly box Ray ;)

Stefan - ‘at a loss of negative things to say’ how disappointing  However I will take advantage of this rare opportunity.
Some other things you may not know about me my friend, I’m 6’4” tall, athletic build (helps when I’m sitting in front of my vise), have a thick head of hair at 46 and a beard to rival Odins. I could keep going but a man has to know where to draw the line so I won’t mention the length of my........................Macro lens 8-)

Well done! Great tying and photo work.
I like the pics of the fly when wet, It really shows the flies “true colors” so to speak.
