Trout are going to take this beauty because it looks so well tied and perhaps because it does look like something good on the menu! Your tying is something to be very proud of! Great job my friend! What else do you have up your sleeve?

Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.
Re: Howarths Yellow Spider
I tyed something similar this year in anticipation of the hatches to come this year. Mine do not hold a candle to yours. Well done.

Beautiful fly. Should catch lots of trout.
Re: Howarths Yellow Spider
Truth be told, virtually all the P & O, P& G aand P & Y flies that I tie include a peacock herl thorax. Also do that with other thread bodied dressings. I just like the look of the peacock thorax!

Bob, I have tried to incorporate more peacock into my soft hackles this year. I always reach for the Hares Mask, or Squirrel.
Re: Howarths Yellow Spider
If i use a dubbing in the thorax area, I often use Hares Ear+ or I mix some clear / white Antron with the fur to add a little gloss / shine and I believe that the Antron / HE+ can hold little air bubbles in the dubbing. Just an OLD Guy's thoughts
