A vintage Welsh pattern. Light wing version here; can also be tied with bronze mallard.


hook - Mustad 3906 #8
thread - Danville 6/0 red
tail - hen ginger
rib - oval tinsel gold
body - dubbing olive
hackle - hen ginger
wing - waterfowl flank (redhead used here)

Where did you get the redhead flank feathers? That's a feather I don't think I have.

Thanks. I found a drake and hen skin on Ebay a while back. The drake flank has nice markings.
