Donald - Wonderful fly! Love the segmentation from the Lycra rib. I am looking forward to seeing your backlog of ideas.

If your new ideas produce anything as nice as this one, Donald, we're all in for some real treats.

Mark, between these and the braided sparkle flies Ariel just posted, I'm going to have to work on something like this when I get my tying stuff out. It's been a bit. I do have a surprise for you in the Jazzflies thread.

Hard to imagine this
not working for crappie and white bass.
Soft-hackles for warmwater? That's goodness.

I guess I missed this thread before. Excellent flies Ray. Did you use head cement or something over the baby legs for the rib? I like all the flies presented here. Swellcat your fly will no doubt catch warm water fish too. Great job. I need to try this pattern....

What size are you tying that in for crappie?

Swellcat, that one looks like just the ticket for the spring white bass run on the Maumee river in Toledo. It's snowing right now, and gonna get down to 15 below in a day or so. Excellent tying weather! I might have to interrupt my Hare's Ear Nymph marathon at the vise to try a few of these.

Ray, forgot to add - I tied up a bunch of the POP flies when you first came up with them. I tied them in orange and red. When i showed them to the Brookies up North, they wouldn't leave them alone. I still carry a few in my small stream box. "killers"
