Jeff - I like those a lot, especially the first one. A nice plump little morsel for a hungry fish. Nice design.

Finally found a Jackrabbit foot (Lepus californicus). Used it for the underwing.

It was a roadkill rabbit (Hare). A golden eagle, 9 Magpies, and a coyote threatened to kick my butt if I took anything other than the foot. ;-) People driving by look really weird at a person that is hacking off a rabbits foot with a utility knife.

You mean you do not carry a "roadkill" kit in the truck?
Utility knives are kind of slow and cumbersome- bypass secateurs are just the "ducks nuts" for lopping off hare feet and the faster you can harvest them- the less chance of the natives getting restless as to you pinching their dinner. ;)
