This has been a fun thread. I bought some different colored midge tubing at a couple fly shops in Basalt and Glenwood, Colorado because of this thread.

Ray ~ That pattern is super -- as with Wayne's version, it stands on it its own considerable merits. And please don't think ill of me for the threading thing; I've never tried it using Flashabou -- only Krystal Flash, which I'm pretty sure is smaller. There are also likely to be differences in the inside diameters of various brands of midge tubing

Donald ~ I really like your "seatrout" pattern also; same caddis pupa profile, but with an external rib and a different color scheme. Have you fished it yet and if so, with any success?
