Re: Dark Watchet techniques?
Is anyone else having trouble with the video on Straw Mayflies? Every time I try to watch it; it stops after a couple of minutes. I was able to watch all of the others without any problem.

Re: Commercial Tying Wax for soft hackles
Howdy All; Just tried to "link" to the feathersmac.com. to check out some of Bill Bailey's waxes. My security (AVG), shut down the internet for me as it has a Virus warning attached to it (According to AVG). Anyone know where I can get some info as to where I can get some...? hank Hi Hank...

Re: Question for Bill Bailey (Pig Dubbing)
Hi Ray, Thank you for the interest in my stuff. At the moment I have one package of the pig's wool left. I hope to have more available soon. I have plenty of the Berlin wool. The price is the same as on John's site. I sell the tin of wax for $4.95. The liquid wax comes in a 1 oz bottle. If you ever ...

Thanks Hank. I'm happy to say my hand is completely healed and so is most of my arm. Billhankaye wrote:WSBailey, Howdy;
Thanks for the link.
Someone mentioned that you had burned yourself badly. Happy to see that you feel well enough to contribute.

Re: New Bailey's Tying Wax
Thanks Ron for the compliments. I talked to John McLain today and he told me he will have a picture of the wax on his website at http://www.feathersmc.com . He is also going to have a picture of the liquid wax I make. He still has some stock available but I will be sending him some more soon. Bill

Re: Gossamer Silk
DD,
I have not seen that color. I have some straw #2. The word écru means raw in French so I would assume that is the color of unbleached silk.

Re: Gossamer Silk
I recently was checking out the Pearsall's website: http://www.pearsallsembroidery.com/index.php?cPath=50&osCsid=8a74743226f313201b01561fc5dd081a and found that the list of available colors has diminished considerably. I hope this isn't a bad omen. The name gossamer has an interesting history: h...

Re: Wax
I make several waxes but the one I am referring to in this post is the one known in fly tying literature as white, transparent or colourless wax. It dates from the days of eyeless hooks when silk gut was used to connect the hook to the leader. Not only did it help to preserve the silk thread but it ...
