Re: Orange Otter
So reading through that pdf brings up a question in my mind. I really like the Erwin Moth fly it mentions. I could see a flymph style fly tied in this way working well. However, if we did tie a fly in a flymph style manner, I'm not sure if we could call it a flymph, since it would not be imitating t...

Re: Gosling attempt
Thanks guys.
Ron, that definitely could be. I basically just took the recipe for this fly from Hans Weilenmann who did a video of it. I thought I may be able to use it effectively in some ponds I fish.

Gosling attempt
Well I tried tying The Gosling. Here is my attempt. Let me know what you think.
The Gosling tied on a TMC206BL size 10.
NS TriLobal Antron amber spun in 6/0 UNI black thread on a Clark Block. Rib is gold medium French oval tinsel. Tail is Pheasant Tail. Hackle is Orange Hen and Mallard flank.

Re: SOFT~ HACKLE JOURNAL
Does anyone know if there is a way to get back issues of this journal? I know that it is no longer in publication, just wondering how I can maybe read what was printed.

Re: Flymph - Light Fox / Hare’s Cheek
I’m glad you guys like this.
I normally oversize the hackle a bit on my Flymphs because I like the way they look. I think it’s from seeing Bill Shuck’s Isonychia for the first time and the way the hackle is on that fly.

Yellow Caddis Flymph
There is an old yellow caddis dry fly originated in Michigan and I had the idea to use the same colors on a Flymph. Tied on a Mustad R50-94842. Nature’s Spirit Fine Natural Dubbing Rainbow Blend in Hopper Yellow spun like a noodle on a Clark Block in Danville 6/0 brown thread. Tail is brown rooster ...
