Re: Drowned Trico
I've been using Kelly Galloup's version for the past couple of years and I've had very good luck with it. I do tie mine on a 20 scud hook for better hooking. I got this tip from the 2nd video below. https://youtube.com/watch?v=YrSaMzarUA4&si=59rrKN-TRE73MC6Z https://youtube.com/watch?v=tpMI6iZNv...

Re: Partridge Skins, would you send them back?
Nice skins DUBBN. These are the replacement premium skins he sent me. No complaints on these. I only had to pay $10 extra, with free shipping. I have purchased quite a bit from this guy, but IIRC I always emailed him and was in contact with him before buying anything. Never an issue before. This tim...

My thoughts too.Ron Eagle Elk wrote: ↑Sat Aug 05, 2023 4:26 pm I would avoid ordering from that shop again, if it were me. That second skin, to me at least, looks like it was used by someone, then resold.

Re: Partridge Skins, would you send them back?
Seems strange that "Pro" is the lowest grade; what is the better grade called? Tight Lines- Ken Pro is bottom Select is middle Premium is top Yes, if I'd I seen them at a fly shop I wouldn't have bought them. I sent them back and have 2 Premium skins coming. To me Pro sounds like it shoul...

Re: Partridge Skins, would you send them back?
He replied, said I ordered pro grade, which is the lowest grade and that there was a 30% increase in cost this summer. Gonna send them back and get a couple more of better quality, and higher cost. Crazy how 1 of the same quality was so beautiful. Oh well.

Re: Partridge Skins, would you send them back?
Thanks. Honestly, that's what I was thinking i should do. Think I'll email him and send him some pics.
Email with pics has been sent. I hate to complain, but 2 of the skins are simply sub par.

Re: SOFT~ HACKLE JOURNAL
Finally got around to reading it, cover to cover. Excellent! I did go to Ace and bought some wax meantioned in tips. I already had more than I will ever use, but... I bought the wax mentioned. Very, very sticky. I wouldn't put it on your finger. I usually just put some on my tying bench, where this ...

Partridge Skins, would you send them back?
I don't like to complain and I have purchased several skins from this seller with no problems, not mentioning the name. 1 skin is beautiful, the other 2 not so much. Missing a lot of feathers off the back of the skins. 1 of these skins does have really nice e feathers around the neck. So, would you ...
